Comply with MHAF guidelines for the care of the pet.
Socialize your foster pet to the best of your ability and communicate about his or her progress and behavior.
Work with & teach the Manners / Obedience according to the Foster Care Program Guidelines (for dogs only).
Provide transportation for Vet appointments and health care (MHAF pays for the cost of vet care).
Provide food, bedding, toys and other necessary items for your foster pet (MHAF can assist with supplies).
Provide guidance as to when Adoption Interviews can be held and when the pet is available for meet and greets.
What will be provided by Middleburg Heights Animal Foundation: Medical care for the foster pet.
Once your application is received and reviewed, we will contact you for an in-home visit to be scheduled and performed by Foster Care Representative. This will give everyone a chance to ask questions and we can help you determine what items / equipment will be needed to prepare you and your home for a new pet. We will also review any guidelines for specific foster animals and the guidelines for training and manners will be reviewed.
Middleburg Heights Animal Foundation, their employees, Board of Directors, and volunteers can not be held responsible for any injury or property damage incurred by your Foster Care Pet. As a volunteer foster home, you accept full responsibility and expenses of any injury or damage caused by your foster pet while they are in your care.
